RDMAS

Pursuant to the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations (CM Regulation No. 766 of 19 September 2006 "Procedure of Information Exchange between Institutions Involved in the Activities of the Regional Development and Assessment System"), work on creating the Regional Development Monitoring and Assessment System (RDMAS) started in 2007.

RDMAS is an information system, which has been designed as a modern data depository based upon the latest information technology achievements offering the possibility of data retrieval. It can perform large-scale complex data analysis, and provide the necessary knowledge about territorial development and the issues of the overall development of the country which is needed in order to make adequate decisions on measures to be implemented.

In general, the RDMAS will enable the policy makers to integrate their policy initiatives concerning the sectors entrusted to them into the common action policy, including the harmonization of lower level territorial policy with higher level policy. Besides, the RDMAS will give the chance to other user groups to analyze the development processes on a national, regional and local municipality level.
